Sebastian Rudy scored a late equaliser to earn Hoffenheim a point against Schalke 04.
Alessandro Schöpf scored for the third game in succession to give Schalke an early lead, but Hoffenheim would establish themselves as the better side.
However it took until just over ten minutes from the end before the Hoffenheim captain popped up to head home Steven Zuber’s cross to ensure they at least got something from the match and shored up their top-four place.
- Ingolstadt 0 – 2 Borussia Moenchen gladbach
Borussia Mönchengladbach continued their recent resurgence with captain marvel Lars Stindl and Andre Hahn earning them a 2-0 win at Ingolstadt.
Buoyed by his tie-turning hat-trick against Fiorentina in the Europa League on Thursday, Stindl took aim from distance to provide the first shot of a cagey first half, but Martin Hansen was well placed to save.
Ingolstadt sharpened their sight for goal in the second half with Sommer making an excellent save to deny Marvin Matip, who went from almost hero to villain as his flick rebounded in off Stindl to put the Foals in front on the hour mark. Ingolstadt had to throw caution to the wind, but Gladbach closed the gaps expertly and added a second in stoppage time with Hahn sealing win number four in their last five Bundesliga games.
