Neymar scored a sublime goal as Barcelona thrashed Sporting Gijon to go top of La Liga.
On the night that coach Luis Enrique announced he will quitin the summer, Lionel Messi’s header and an own goal by Juan Rodriguez put Barca in control.
Carlos Castro made it 2-1 but Luis Suarez and Paco Alcacer extended the lead before Neymar’s free-kick and Ivan Rakitic completed the rout.
Barca are one point clear of Real Madrid, who drew 3-3 with Las Palmas.

Gareth Bale was sent off as Real Madrid produced a second-half comeback to take a point during a thrilling 3-3 draw with Las Palmas.
Isco had given the hosts the lead inside eight minutes before a stunning equaliser from Tana two minutes later saw the sides deservedly level at the break.
But the second half produced plenty of talking points, with Bale sent off for the first time since 2008 minutes after the restart for two quickfire yellow cards before Joanthan Viera – at the centre of the Welshman’s dismissal – put Las Palmas ahead from the spot.
Kevin-Prince Boateng walked in the third for the visitors, but two goals from Cristiano Ronaldo in three minutes rescued a point for Real, who now slip to second behind Barcelona by one point but with a game in hand.
Real Madrid have conceded three goals in a game at Santiago Bernabeu for the first time under Zinedine Zidane in all competitions.

Villarreal were big winners at Osasuna, where Rafael Santos Borre bagged a late brace to build on Roberto Soriano’s opener and Roberto Soldado’s penalty in a 4-1 victory.
Roberto Torres got among the goals for basement boys Osasuna, who are nine points from safety.

Closer to escaping from the relegation zone are Granada, who clinched a vital 2-1 win over Alaves.
Mubarak Wakaso set the improving Andalusians on the path to a third straight home success and Isaac Cuenca’s goal rendered Victor Camarasa’s response irrelevant.
Struggling Alaves, now level on points with Granada, had Aleksandar Katai and Alexis dismissed for dissent in second-half stoppage-time after a potential equalising goal was ruled out by the referee.
- Celta Vigo 2 – 2 Espanyol
Celta Vigo and Espanyol played out a 2-2 mid-table draw at Balaidos.
Tenth-placed Celta saw Iago Aspas break the deadlock midway through the first half and, when Gerard Moreno cancelled out the former Liverpool striker’s goal, Daniel Wass notched.
The points were split before the break as Pablo Piatti grabbed a leveller after 31 minutes.
