  • Paris Saint Germain 1 – 0 Nancy

PSG beat Nancy 1-0 thanks to Edinson Cavani’s late penalty, his 37th goal of the season, and they were lucky not to concede when Alexis Busin’s shot hit both posts.

Cavani scored his 27th goal in 26 league appearances this season, to put PSG on 62 points, behind Monaco on goal difference, who host Nantes on Sunday.

PSG, who were held to a goalless draw by Toulouse at the Parc des Princes two weeks ago, struggled again on their turf but eventually wore out a brave Nancy side.

Coach Unai Emery surprisingly handed a start to Goncalo Guedes with Julian Draxler on the bench, a decision that left the home side lacking speed up front.

However, with 10 minutes left, full-back Serge Aurier was brought down in the box and Cavani converted the resulting penalty with a powerful low shot.

Nancy are 17th on 28 points, one point above the relegation zone.

  • Dijon 0 – 1 Nice

Nice won by the same scoreline against Dijon, with Wylan Cyprien scoring in the 69th minute.

Nice are third, also on 62 points.

Mario Balotelli returned from a one-match suspension, but it was midfielder Cyprien’s calm finish on 69 minutes in Dijon that helped maintain Nice’s unlikely title challenge.

  • Caen 2 – 3 Angers

Angers continued their winning run with a 3-2 victory at Caen.

Karl Toko Ekambi headed the visitors into the lead after only five minutes, before Ronny Rodelin rounded the keeper to equalise.

Cheikh Ndoye’s looping header made it 2-1 in the 21st minute, with an early second-half penalty from Thomas Mangani putting the visitors in control.

Ivan Santini reduced the deficit with 23 minutes left, but Caen could not conjure an equaliser.

  • SC Bastia 0 – 0 Saint- Etienne

Saint-Etienne failed to make up ground in their push for Europe after a 0-0 draw at Bastia where both sides ended the game with 10 men.

  • Montpellier 1 – 1 Guingamp

Montpellier drew 1-1 with Guingamp at Stade de la Mosson.
Steve Mounie’s clever flick gave the hosts the lead five minutes into the second half, but Guingamp skipper Jimmy Briand volleyed in an equalised with five minutes left.

  • Metz 1 – 1 Rennes

A last-gasp equaliser from Wesley Said snatched a 1-1 draw for Rennes at Metz.

Cheick Diabate had put the home side in front during first-half stoppage-time when he latched onto a stray backpass.

However, just when it looked like Metz were set for a much-needed three points, Said lashed a loose ball in at the far post.
