  • ​Chelsea have made their first signing of the summer but don’t plan to announce it until July 1.

  • Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko has chosen to join Chelsea ahead of Manchester City and Manchester United.
  • The two clubs now need to agree a fee, with Chelsea reportedly offering up to €30 million (£26m) so far, with Monaco holding out for at least €45m (£39m).
  • Chelsea’s contract negotiations with goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, 25, have stalled over his wage demands. The Belgium keeper is on a £100,000-a-week deal, which comes to an end in two years’ time.
  • The premier league champions will hold more contract talks with Thibaut Courtois when the keeper returns to pre-season training.
  • Eden Hazard is planning to win more trophies at Chelsea next season and insists he is “very happy” at the club.
  • Inter Milan have told Manchester United that they will not drop their €55 million (£48m) asking price for winger Ivan Perisic.

  • Jose Mourinho has valued Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea, 26, at £100m amid interest from Real Madrid and has told the La Liga champions they can sign the Spaniard for £45m plus striker Alvaro Morata, 24.
  • But Real say they want £78m for Morata despite details of a “hugely attractive package” being agreed with Manchester United.

  • Real are expected to offer wantaway AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma a €6million per year long-term contract.
  • Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu could be on his way to AC Milan to replace Donnarumma if the Italy international moves on this summer.
  • Barcelona are set for a summer clear-out. Several of their squad players, chiefly Thomas Vermaelen, Christian Tello, Arda Turan, Jeremy Mathieu and Rafinha, are all set to depart the Nou Camp.

  • Italian champions Juventus have tabled an offer for Sevilla midfielder Steven N’Zonzi. The Serie A side are eager to complete the move after missing out on Corentin Tolisso, who joined Bayern Munich on Wednesday.

  • Tianjin Quanjian have cooled their interest in one-time Manchester City  transfer target Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and are instead keen on bringing Koln forward Anthony Modeste to China.
  • Dortmund striker Aubameyang may now stay in Germany for another season after both Tianjin Quanjian and Paris Saint-Germain decided to move on to alternatives.

  • Manchester United and Juventus are keeping tabs on the situation of Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes.
  • Napoli are trying to convince Newcastle target Pepe Reina to stay at the club by offering him a contract extension until 2019.
